Arriving in Paris in 1950, Maryan received a scholarship to study lithography at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
He trained there until 1953, notably with Fernand Léger.
His production of prints - lithography, linocut, screen printing - will then be regular.
In 1953 and 1955, he made sets of lithographs forThe trialby Franz Kafka (published by Éditions Caractères with a preface by Jean Cassou), then for a collection entitledGolem(published in 1959 by Film och Konst Förlag in Stockholm).
In 1961, thanks to the very beautiful "Jacomet process", his collection of dessinsThe Human Menagerie is reproduced and edited by les ditions Tisné (see above).
In 1973, during a stay in Spain, he worked on the production of lithographs and serigraphs, in connection with the Grupo Quince collective established in Madrid and the Sen gallery (see above).
In 1977, the Nova Spectra gallery published its last two lithographs,From Koningen.
